Asbestos Sampling

The use of asbestos and asbestos containing materials was completely banned in the UK in 1999. Certain materials used in the construction, modification or repair of a building before 1999 could contain asbestos and the only way to know for sure is to have the material sampled and tested by a UKAS accredited laboratory.

The Aztech Group offers a fast and efficient sampling services with 24 hour turn around on results and a sample certificate emailed direct to you for your records. All our samples are taken by fully qualified and insured Aztech Group surveyors who will be as discreet as possible when taking samples causing as little damage as possible and sealing all sample areas completely ensuring your safety at all times.

Having a material sampled and confirmed as containing asbestos or equally having it confirmed as not containing asbestos allows you to manage the problem correctly or can give you peace of mind there is no risk present. We are often contacted by new home owners to sample textured coatings (artex), floor tiles and garage roofs in properties they have recently bought to allow them to make their own modifications and improvements to the property, without potentially exposing their family to asbestos fibres due to not having a sample tested.

We also regularly hear from people in the building and construction industry who will use our sampling service upon discovery of a suspicious looking material when working on a property. In this instance work will cease and we will deploy one of our surveyors the same day to sample the material and get the results back to the client the very next day so work can resume.
